Back Yard Coffee is an independent coffee roastery and wholesale coffee supplier based in Ditchling, East Sussex, UK.
As a small family-run business, we are dedicated to producing award winning and crowd pleasing coffee in the most economical and environmentally friendly way possible.
For every day coffee lovers, our products are available to enjoy at home via our BYC Consumer webstore to be enjoyed at home or on the go at café stockists such as FIKA, found in central Hove and also Brighton's Sea Lanes.

Recycling & Ecology
Over the last few years, we have been working on lowering our carbon footprint by making all BYC packing fully recyclable, and we are aiming towards making it compostable in the near future as well.
Investing in the latest equipment, we have the only 20kg hybrid roaster which is engineered to regenerate it’s own heat source, rather than pumping it all out the chimney and going to waste.
We are proud to be a wholesale retailer for Huskee, and encourage our customers and clients to make the move towards recycled and reusable coffee cups over single-use products.

Quality Products
The farms and suppliers we use for our products are sourced with the utmost care and a focus on quality and sustainability. As such, we have been buying from the same farm in the Rwenzori Mountain regions of Uganda for over 5 years now.
By visiting the area and spending time with the locals, we have seen the positive impact our business provides, and are able to see our money go directly towards improving the working, living and and schooling conditions for the whole community.
We maintain a fantastic relationship with the farmers, producers and importers to make sure our product is always of the highest quality.
Our Brazilian coffee is from a wonderful family-run farm that has been paving the way for how Brazilian coffee is produced, it’s traceability, and how we can positively impact the world with the product we buy.
This is due in part to the logistics network we use, moving product from Brazil to the UK in an eco-friendly manner. We have an agreement that for every sack purchased, a tree is planted in the Amazon on our behalf.
We have combined these 2 amazing coffees from Brazil & Uganda to create our award winning house blend; with the perfect flavour notes for any type of coffee drinker to enjoy.
By sourcing the best product from people we love working with, and treating it with the respect it deserves, our aim is to create an amazing coffee experience for all our customers.
